The Graphic design portfolio is, for a graphic designer, much more than a simple tool; is like your presentation card. It will let the others know of your work beyond any recomendations. But this is a doble edge blade if you are a beginer in the business since you must choose carefully wich works you want to show. Many of the work proyects and art we create in our early years of learning are not exactly masterpieces... So its better to only show our finest works, if you dont have anything really good to show you better start working! A good portfolio can be the diference beteen getting or not the job you want! a portfolio has to show not only "work" and "quality" it has to reflect your own creativity and your style. A good way to start a decent portfolio is to gather all of your best works, the ones you feel better about and keep updating it as you go creating, be VERY selective of the works you show, even try to keep adding better and better works as you get rid of the old stuff.

I think that portfolio even been digital or not, can be a good idea for everyone because the people know all the works that you created, it’s an interesting way to show your artistic creation. I don’t agree with this sometimes because the people can steal the images or maybe all the creation when it’s digital and don’t have a protection like a block or something like that.

I could be said that the portfolio is a set of evidences with regard to the knowledge and the skills that go the students acquire across the practice. East can be used for diverse intentions.
